I need some advice dealing with Pressler and Pressler. I had some credit card debt from a few years ago that I honestly forgot about. Now, this law firm is calling non-stop, but the worst part is they've started calling my parents' house.

My dad told me the caller asked for me by name and then when my dad said I didn't live there, the caller started asking him questions about where I work and if I could afford to pay a debt. My dad is elderly and it really upset him. I thought they weren't allowed to discuss this with anyone but me?

I tried looking up what they can and can't do and found this article which confirms that talking to my family about the debt is a major red flag: https://protectionforconsumers.com/pressler-and-pressler-debt-collection-harassment/

It also mentions that threatening lawsuits without proper documentation is another common tactic, which they've started doing in voicemails. I'm feeling really anxious and pressured. Should I send them a cease and desist letter? Or is it time to talk to a lawyer? If you've been through this with Pressler, please let me know what worked for you. Thanks.
