Can an inspection really tell if a car has been tuned or modded?

I'm looking at a 2017 Audi S3 that seems like a great deal on paper, but I've got this nagging feeling that it might have been tuned or modified by the previous owner. The seller is the second owner and says he bought it from a guy who kept it stock, but I'm not sure I believe him because the car just feels a bit too eager when you step on the gas, if that makes sense. I know these cars are quick from the factory, but something about the throttle response feels different from other S3s I've driven. I'm worried that if it was tuned, especially if it was a cheap flash tune, it could have put extra stress on the engine and turbo that might not show up until after I've bought it. The seller says he doesn't know anything about tuning and the car hasn't been modified, but I'm not sure I want to take his word for it. I found a service called https://prepurchasecarinspection.ae/ that says they can check for aftermarket modifications and look for signs of tuning, which seems like exactly what I need. For those of you who have bought performance cars here, is it common for people to revert them back to stock before selling and try to hide that they were tuned? And can a good inspector actually tell if a car has been modified even if the seller removed the obvious parts? I don't want to pass on a good car if I'm just being paranoid, but I also don't want to buy something that's been driven hard and tuned poorly.
