Just wanted to pass along something I stumbled across while I've been stuck at home recovering from a warehouse injury. I've been trying to do as much research as I can because the insurance company keeps sending me letters that might as well be written in another language for all I understand them. I was googling something about how settlements work in New York and I ended up on this site https://www.workerscompensationattorneylaw.com/ that actually had some pretty clear explanations of the whole process from start to finish. It helped me understand the difference between lost wage benefits and permanent injury stuff, which nobody at work bothered to explain. I'm not the type to just hire a lawyer without knowing what I'm getting into, so reading through that kind of information first made me feel a little more prepared when I did start making phone calls. Just figured if anyone else is in that early confused stage like I was, it might be worth a look. Still early in my case but at least I feel like I know what questions to ask now.
